Orange City, Florida trainings are conducted in an informal office setting. In addition to the basic EMDRIA-required training content, this training includes brief overviews of traumatology, developmental attachment theory, neurobiology and trauma physiology to better prepare the clinician's foundation of case conceptualization using the eight phase, three-prong EMDR approach. Additional Part Two material includes emotional regulation and resource techniques, expanded use of EMDR with ego state / inner child work, addictions and dissociation. Both trainings consist of interactive didactic presentation of material supplemented by video, live demonstration, and practice portions. The manual and required 10 hours of basic consultation are included.
Lynda was privileged to be trained as a trainer by Francine Shapiro. She was an EMDR Institute Facilitator and Regional Basic Trainer. She is a Senior Trainer for Trauma Recovery / EMDR-HAP. Her training style has been described as energetic, humorous, interactive, down-to-earth, and relaxed, based on her "If you can't have fun, why show up!" philosophy. This approach facilitates learning by helping offset the intense and traumatic material presented during the training.
Feedback she received from participants throughout the years of trainings, in a variety of settings, led her to create a training manual to address those needs by incorporating highlights of the wealth of tools, skills and resources acquired from both a full-time EMDR practice and from masters in the field. She provides instruction, guidance and support in how to use the tools to enhance the clinician's beginning EMDR experiences with clients, encouraging you to "make EMDR your own" while remaining faithful to the model.
Lynda provides training on request at your location, endeavoring to maintain the same relaxed, informal learning environment that she creates in her Florida office.
