David Martin, LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, graduated from Seton Hill University, Greensburg, PA in 2010, and has been practicing psychotherapy since that time. David has done extensive work with couples and families in his life’s work and began working with children and their families, with primary diagnoses of ADHD, ADD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Autism. This work has laid the foundation for his individual’s, couple’s and family work at EMDR Counseling Associates.
David also has a passion for working with addictions, specifically drug and alcohol, and has done work in the inpatient and outpatient settings. David also works with various other areas: life coaching, transition and adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, grief and loss, the LGBT population, along with addictions, and couple’s and family therapy.
David’s theory of practice is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and also practices from a Structural Family Therapy Model and Attachment Theory Model. David is also able to provide EMDR therapy and is working toward permanent EMDR certification. David has a flexible schedule with evening and Saturday hours available. David is currently accepting individuals 8 and older, along with couples and families.
